This package is suitable to candidates who are self starting. Maybe you have found your own work placement, or you're not quite sure what you'll be doing in New Zealand yet. With this package we ensure we lodge your visa application on your behalf. That way you are secure that everything has been completed correctly while you can continue dreaming about your adventure in New Zealand.

Visa Information

To be able to work or do an internship or work placement in New Zealand you need the correct visa. Choosing your visa can be a complicated business, so let's make it easy for you! Please see below more information on the two visas we use to arrange the New Zealand Internship and Work Placement Program.

WORKING HOLIDAY VISA

The Working Holiday Visa is only available to select nationalities. These countries have an agreement with New Zealand for Working Holiday Visas. If your nationality is not listed below you cannot apply for this visa.

Eligible nationalities:

Belgium, The Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States of America, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan or Norway.

Candidates from Argentina, Chile, China, Czechia, Korea, Singapore, Spain, or Uruguay are also eligible. However, there are yearly quotas of the number of visas that are issued. Contact us to find out if visa applications are currently open.

Additional visa requirements:

  1. You must be between 18 and 30 years old.

  2. You cannot bring dependents with you on this visa.

  3. You must have sufficient money to support yourself: NZD$4,200.

  4. You cannot apply if you've been granted a previous New Zealand Working Holiday visa.

STUDENT AND TRAINEE WORK VISA

The Student and Trainee Work Visa is open to all nationalities. There are additional requirements for this visa. Please find these requirements below.

  1. ​The internship can only have a maximum length of 6 months.

  2. The internship must be part of your educational requirements.

  3. You must be actively enrolled in a college or university and the internship needs to be part of your curriculum. You cannot apply if you've already graduated.

  4. Your college must be able to prove that the internship is part of your studies. They can issue a letter to prove this.

  5. You need a letter from a New Zealand employer outlining the internship details (this is our job).

  6. You cannot bring any dependents with you on this visa.

  7. You must have sufficient funds to support yourself in New Zealand and have emergency funding (we advise at least NZD$4,200).
