Do you qualify for this J-1 program?

  • You are currently enrolled in a Hospitality degree and your college is recognized by your local government OR

  • You have graduated from a Hospitality degree in the past 12 months OR

  • You have graduated from a Hospitality degree longer than 12 months ago and have 12 months of full time work experience in the Hospitality industry outside the United States OR

  • You have at least 5 years of full time work experience in the Hospitality industry

PROGRAM DETAILS

J-1 Program Details

  • Fully structured US Training Programs in Food and Beverage Operations or Culinary Arts.
  • Program length 12 months
  • 2021 Conditional Offers (No fees charged until we confirm a safe 2021 arrival date to the USA). 
  • Pay-as-you-Earn program options available 
  • Hourly training rate of $12-15 USD per hour  
  • Guaranteed 32 hours of training per week (J-1 program regulations) 
  • First 25 days of Housing arranged ($350 candidate cost)

  • Long term housing options will be sent to the candidate to independently finalize (prior to arrival)

APPLICATION PROCESS

As a J-1 Cultural exchange company, we highly encourage you to experience the beauty and heritage of the American West at The Broadmoor with authentic adventures and activities in every season. From horseback riding and hikes along scenic mountain trails to rock climbing instruction and fly fishing excursions, guests (and team members) are encouraged to immerse themselves in the unique culture of Colorado.

PLACEMENT LOCATION

Application Process

The J-1 Intern/Trainee Visa application process can take up to 3 months. This timeline covers from receiving your offer letter, to arriving in the USA to start your J-1 Training Program.

 

Please note in 2020/2021 due to the ongoing issues with COVID-19, this 3 month timeline will no longer be accurate.

 

All Spring/Summer 2021 program applications must be submitted  by December 31st, 2020.

  1. Email us your resume. We review your resume as soon as we can. If you meet the visa requirements we invite you for a Skype or Zoom screening interview.
  2. Pass a Skype/Zoom J-1 screening interview (60 minutes).

  3. Hospitality Skill-set Review (30 minutes).

  4. Broadmoor Video Interview (15-30 minutes).

  5. Conditional Offer extended by The Broadmoor.

  6. The Broadmoor issues final offer letters with COVID-safe start dates (end of 2020/early 2021).

  7. Candidates are invoiced for program fees and choose the payment option (Pay as you Earn or Full program Fee in one payment)

  8. Shipment of visa documents (DS2019 form and DS7002 forms)

  9. T4H conduct your personal US J-1 visa Embassy Orientation

  10. You visit the US embassy and successfully complete J-1 visa interview.

  11. Pre-Departure USA Orientation 

  12. After your visa is issued, you can depart to the United States to start your 12 month program.

PROGRAM FEES & PAY-AS-YOU-EARN

Program Fee's

 

We are very transparant about our program fees. All fees are listed here and are in U.S. dollars​

  • Program Fees 12 months: $3,295

Deposits are currently not being charged, until program dates are secure. However T4H will be asking for proof of finaincial status, to ensure you have the funds to take part in the program.  

Costs that are not included:

  • SEVIS fee: $220

  • Embassy appointment fee: $160

  • Airfare

  • Housing:

    • The first 25 days Housing is arrange with Broadmoor for $300.

    • Long term Housing Options will be provided in advance, and must be secured before departure.
